Meet The Barnyard

Dolly
Age: 25 Breed: Appaloosa/Quarter Horse Cross
You will immediately fall in love with Dolly's warm eyes and gentle personality. As our #1 lesson horse, she has carried so many students through their first rides and into the wonderful world of horses. Her amazing ability to match her rider's skill makes her the perfect horse in practically every way!

Reina
Age: 12 Breed: Paint/Quarter Horse Cross
Reina is our beautiful, sometimes goofy horse to move up to as you progress in your riding journey. While she is definitely a large mare, she has no idea - I think she firmly believes she's a little pony. Reina depends a lot on her rider, and she will challenge you in the best ways to learn more about riding and more about yourself.

Our Goat Herd
Ages: 4-11 Breed: Alpine/Nigerian Dwarves
Our happy herd of five enjoys visitors and snacking on animal crackers. Their names are, in age order: Andy (the uncle, big gray & white), Annable (mama of the younger 3, brown with big white spot on face), Mandy (brown with tan facial markings), Matthew (dark grey-black with white patch), and Mable (little gray and white).

Cutter
Age: 26 Breed: Quarter Horse
Cutter is our self-appointed and well-loved barn greeter. She absolutely adores people giving her attention and treats. And though she is now retired from riding, Cutter still loves to help new students learn ground work and grooming. Her graceful, affectionate demeanor wins the hearts of all who meet her.

Dixie
Age: 11 Breed: Halfinger
Dixie is our newest addition at Amazing Grace Stables. Her adorable personality has brought so much joy to all of us. Though our smallest horse, she has the heart & strength of a horse twice her size. Dixie loves to be ridden & eagerly meets me at the gate. Though currently still in training, she will be joining our lesson program soon!

Our Flock of Chickens
Ages: 1-6 Breeds: Barred Rock, Deleware, Isa
Our flock of eighteen, free-range laying hens is quite spoiled and expressive, ranging from graceful to goofy. They are a very vocal bunch who like to hear themselves talk. One is an escape artist who you'll often see wandering around the barn. They all will come running for treats and love being admired. On occasion, we'll also have their fresh eggs for sale.
